3. Will the MDT’s be covered under the county maintenance contract? The Laptops that are being looked at will have a 3-year no questions asked warranty.  The radio part will also have a warranty period.
4. Will departments be able to purchase additional MDT’s? Once we finalize the contract we will have a provision that allows this.  Departments will be provided the information with cost.
5. What is going to happen to the old MST’s? They will be traded in to the radio vendor that is installing the new equipment.
6. Are the MDT’s the same unit for the wireless PCR’s? At this time the laptops that are being considered are a combination Laptop/Tablet that can be used for both the mobile system and for the PCR part of the RMS system.
7. Do the departments still need to print PCR’s for their records? This would be a question for the State Health Department and not for this committee.
8. Will the MDT’s be installed in the field or will each piece of apparatus need to be taken to the shop? The radio vendor will be providing a schedule where they will be going to each department and installing the equipment onsite to help minimize out of service time.  We are still looking at the way we are going to handle EMS agencies.
9. How will the Engine 91 concept work? You will be able to log on or off the MDT in the vehicle as Engine 91 when it is in service or out of service.  If you set the unit up in the response plans it will also be recommended when it is in service.

No.  The radio that is in the apparatus has the information for that apparatus.  When you log into the mobile you will log in the unit ID of that apparatus.
